Ursa is a revival of the words of a man lost too soon. Fourteen years since his last album, seven years after his passing, Cubsac's original vocals have been revived in these fourteen tracks.

Cubsac, Chief Ill Eagle, Cubby... Chris was my brother in music. I've never known anyone who believed in me and my art more than he did. We started making music with several other friends in our teens, taking every house sitting gig we could just to have a space to record. By our 30's it was only Cub and I left. He was the heart of our crew and, after he passed, I wasn't sure if I would continue without him.
I wanted to honor him with this sonic biography so his story may be told in a way he would approve of. I feel that too few people had an opportunity to experience who he was. Angry, intelligent, hilarious, comforting, bold, sad, unique, real. These words describe a man too free in spirit to not let you hear it. Please enjoy the tale of a bear roaming through your city.
